“Healthy” candies—treats made with at least some “better for you” ingredients than traditional candy bars—have traditionally been found in specialty stores or health-focused grocery stores like Whole Foods. Clio Snacks is looking to change this with its refrigerated, handheld bar offerings, also available in retail chains like Walmart, Kroger and even warehouse giant Costco. Three newer additions to the line are Chocolate Greek Yogurt Bars, Vanilla Less Sugar Yogurt Bars, and Vanilla Almond Granola & Yogurt Parfait Bars.
According to John McGuckin, CEO of Clio Snacks, "The snacking trend has emerged as an incremental and dynamic force within refrigerated CPG, and our goal is to provide delicious solutions, which deliver on the promise of guiltless indulgence."
The bars are made with pure, strained whole milk Greek yogurt, certified gluten free. The Chocolate Greek Yogurt bars have 8 grams of protein and 150 calories per serving. The Vanilla Less Sugar Yogurt Bars are keto-friendly and contain 100 calories and 1 gram of sugar. Vanilla Almond Granola & Yogurt Parfait Bars have 210 calories and 10 grams of protein.
